Where to take fuel pressure reading from before ,or after ??

Going down the road iam at 10 - 11 psi. Would i be getting higher readings before the filter??? And is that where i should have the gauge hooked to anyway?? ...The fuel filter in new

99 24-v

Mine is reading pre-filter so I can keep a close eye on the lift pump pressures. Reading post filter is ok though but numbers will be slightly lower and will tell you when your filter is getting resticted(clogged) after you have some baseline #'s to go off of.
If you change your filter quite often as I do, every 10k it would be better to be checking pre-filter pressures I think.

Can't say much for the truck, but in marine installations they install two guages. One before the filter and one after. Any significant difference in pressures would indicate a clogging filter and would indicate time for a filter change.

How bout a digital guage.
A switch.
Two senders, one before and one after?

Less real estate in your pod of choice, and basically two guages.

phox
