Fass

I have a stock engine, no mods no boxes and replaced my factory unit with a Fass DDRP.

I know this is not trendy and if I had bigger injectors or a juice box or any other fancy mods I would not use it.

But it has supplied 22+ psi at idle for nearly 3 years now and I am happy with it. Lots cheaper than the fancy units.

Also, if you do not have a fuel pressure gage at this time, install one of those while you are in the fuel system..gm

I have had great luck wiht my Raptor FRRP, alot of towing and plowing snow hours on the truck too in the past since it was installed.
They also come with an adjustable built in regulator, and mounts in the factory location. 21PSI at idle, and cant drop it below about 15PSI.

I have the pump that Dane mentioned. I bought it at my local O'Rielly's auto parts store, it was what they listed as an optional factory replacement.

This pump combined with the relocation/ big-line kit from Vulcan gave me 20 psi at idle, 11 at wide open throttle. 3 years later I still get 18-19 at idle and never dips below 9 psi even when standing on the throttle going up a long hill with a trailer hooked up.

This pump was pretty cheap too.

My truck is 99, and the lift pump was still on the engine, I dunno about yours if it's on the framerail already or not

I replaced my lift pump about 9 years ago. Here is a url to the exact pump I replaced my with. 9 years ago it was $89 but it's $130 now. Bolts directly to the factory bracket on the block. The original pump was also made by Carter. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRT-P4601HP/

Dont waste your money on the air tex and you only get 10psi idle and maybe 5psi on it hard. After two of them failing one faild do to cheesy way they power leads go on the pump when it was on the frame rail i ripped all the power wires off in the brush, the second one and the first one two were a joke the cheap way the fuel outlet line going to the filter is a joke you will never ever get that pile of crap to stop dripping. I went with a ddrp by fast two years ago and wound up putting it back on the block no sense in re inventing the wheel and i get a steady 20psi idle and 12-9psi on it hard. Any more fuel psi over 25 is a joke and a waste and will eventually land you in the shop when the diaphrams are ripped in side the injector pump.

Don't worry about small mods and the DDRPII. I've got 100hp inj & a XZT+. I can't pull it below 13psi & see 17-18psi at cruise.

DING DING DING, we have a winner folks. I installed this on my truck end of problems. When the engine is turning the fuel is flowing. END OF STORY.

2 years on my Airtex and it has the 15 psi gauge pegged and wont pull down past 12 psi. I would not hesitate on using another.
