What is this miss????

What is this miss??? Truck started to miss the other day like it had water was not getting fuel. This only happens right after I start it and then it clears up after a few minutes and runs normal. Does not matter if the engine is hot or cold. Also I get no water in fuel light. I did a apps reset and had no problem for two days and then I did the code thing with the ignition key and it came up with a P1693 code and then the miss started again, same thing! Did the apps reset again and will see what happens tomorrow. Oh I changed the fuel filter before the first apps reset and no change. Anyone have any ideas, LP or?? What is a P1693 code? After it displayed the code it went blank and then said r--done? What gives????

My truck did the same intermittently, I found that my lift pump was running intermittently and I had a leak around the fuel filter seal, I replaced the on-engine lift pump with the in tank pump and installed a FP gauge.

I am not sure if mine was an air problem or a FP problem but it is fixed.

Thanks for the replys guys. I'll have to try to reseat the filter cap to make sure that there is no air leak. When I get home I'll do the pump at the tank and fp gauge. I had the scan done at AutoZone and it came up p0216. It says The PCM has determined that there is a discrepancy between the "actual" and the "desired" injector timing. I'll have to figure out what that means and then how do I fix it!
