What does the Transmission Filter Look Like?

I picked up transmission fluid (Valvoline ATF+4) and a filter yesterday; the filter is about 6"x6", encased in a metal holder. I expected it to be a larger foam filter (see below). Did I get what I should have?

Oh, and I know a guy (okay, me!) that overtightened his trans pan bolts this winter. Make sure you don't strip them! The want to barely be tight (15ft. lbs).

My original filter was an enclosed one.
The trans rebuilder told me to go with the open element (one like in your picture) because it has a larger surface to draw fluid through instead of letting it suck the fluid through the little snorkle in the enclosure.

Sounds good to me, but where can I get one?

I think it's the same as the 'old' 727 torque-flite.
