water pump relacement

Putting a new water pump on and wanting to drain and fill radiator when I do. How many gallons of coolant does it take? 2002 dodge. What would be the best stuff to put in. Truck has 300,000 on it, thanks!

Complete fill takes 6 gallons of 50/50
low silacate anitfreeze. I would also replace the thermostat 195 from cummins.

careful with the rad drain if it does not move easily, DONT force it or you will be buying a rad, I find it best to pull the rad hose, messy but safe.
I like amsoil AF, and I second the cummins stat
