GUILTY! I've had my CTD over a year and 25k and haven't touched it either. I do change my filter every 15K and suck out the fuel in the canister and clean it out with a lint free cloth.

If your changing your fuel filters often and cleaning the canister your getting any moisture out of there anyway.

I do it every fill up. Some stations do not like you doing this at the pump..something about spilled fuel. I had one station tell me not to do it, so I switched stations and don't give them the bi-weekly $50.00 anymore.

I did for the first couple of fillups when I bought the truck.

Never had anything come out, so I gave up.

I change the filter every 10K (I know, overkill, but filters are cheap),
and I drain the cannister into an empty coke bottle and let it sit to see if any water separates out.

3 filter changes (almost time for the 4th) and I've never seen as much as a drop of water.

I always keep a small clear plastic bottle in the truck for draining the seperator. I will drain some fuel out and if there is no water i will dump it back in the tank.
