my water in fuel light came on this morning i just flushed out my water seperator a few days ago on my fass any ideas guys i throw a bottle of power service in the tank do you think ill be ok

Isn't the sensor in the stock FF? Are you still using the stock FF or did you bypass it with the fass?

 

If you still have and use the stock fuel/water seperator system then you might want to clean your WIF sensor.

Here is where the sensor is located on the canister. This is the side that faces the front of the truck.

i dont have the stock fuel filter assembly i have the fass with the filters i think i might of known what happened the connectors for the stock fuel filter are still there and i washed my truck so i think they might of got wet and tripped the water in fuel light

 

Geeeze Louize JR., are you scraping up asphalt and boiling it down for fuel?

My filter canister has never looked like that and I change mine about every 20,000 miles.

You must be getting some real junky fuel over there.

 

ok here's a question. Can I unplug the WIF and Heater and not set codes in the ECM? I'm also bypassing the stock filter.

 

I get my fuel from a station that has more diesel traffic than any other station that I've seen. Its a 76 station if that matters. It may not be the cleanest, but I believe it it the freshest fuel than most other stations out here.

I change the filter every 10K and wipe out the canister when I do. Good thing for the Fleetguard Stratapore.

If I knew how to get diesel out of asphalt I might be doing that instead of paying $3.20 a gallon.

 

Yes, (on the WIF anyway unsure on the Heater),
just make sure you waterproof the connector, vaseline and duct tape work wonders.
