i see some of you talk about blocking the wastegate, what does this mean and what does it do? how do you do it?

hey I was curious as to the answer of this question also, in past questions I have had personally i used the search feature and was surprised to find the answer maybe that 'll help,

 

Blocking the wastegate to get more boost is all wrong.
Change the opening point. This still allows it to open to prevent the drive pressure to cause head gasket failure.
some want to try for boost over 35-40 and a stock turbo is not capable of living long like that.
