I think my wastegate may be stuck shut. I'm not sure. I remember reading somewhere either on this forum or somewhere else a pressure test procedure using a valve stem and a plastic fitting. Does anyone know about this? I have searched on here and have not found anything. Anyone know about this? Thanks.



2002 Q/C 4X4 SB Auto

 

Hey, mine was stuck but not to bad. I sprayed it with penatrating oil and used the blow gun from the air compressor on the rubber line going into the waste gate actuator. I pulsed the air and this managed to break it free. Good luck.

Why do you think your wastegate is stuck. Are you reading higher than normal Boost Readings?

 

I don't have a boost gauge on my truck, but I've got an over boost code. I just want to make sure it is working and not stuck.
