my buddy has a 12 vavle and he turned it up and he told me that he closed the waste gate now i know if you open it you lose power but what about closeing it he said it would give me more power and a lot of black smoke but im not to sure so but i do not have any mods yet getting them next month so need yal help

 

on a 24v if completely close the wastegate you will set off a boost code resulting in a defueling. a turbomaster will let you set the boost pressure without setting a code. you have to get a fueling upgrade computer like tst or edge which has a boost fooler. if you are not adding fuel then the extra boost really wont help. the 12v does not have computers so it will not set any codes

 

well what happens if you close it a little but not all the way

 

On a 12v it will give a little mpre when pulling a grade with extra throttle you get about 35-40 psi boost max at WOT resulting lower EGT's.<br><br>Just buy a $ 2.00 turnbuckle at the hardware store and be done with it, I've done it since my truck was a month old, glad I did.
