VP44 Need help
My truck stopped running, I have codes PO234 PO236 PO251 PO252.
I have installed an Edge Comp 1 week ago. The truck was running great until I had to pass a slow moving vehicle. I stomped on the throttle at 35 mph, When I let off the throttle at 70 mph the engine died. Would the Edge Comp have caused these problems ? Would low fuel pressure cause this problem ? I do have fuel pressure at this time but the engine will not start .
I would like to have some of your opinions PLEASE.
Thanks
Greg Smith

Welcome to the site.
Buddy of mine had a Dart GTS back in the late 70s.
Tough way to introduce yourself...
First check to make sure you have fuel at the injectors.
Loosen up a couple of injector tube nuts (19mm) a turn or so and crank it over for around 30 seconds.
Might be a good idea to check your fuel pressure and flow from your stock? Transfer Pump. They are notorious for failing.
A transfer pump is around $150. a VP is around a grand.
It might just be the fuel injectors ran the fuel lines dry.... (best case scenario)
More than likely though, your VP-44 is toast.
This is not at all uncommon for a VP to take the big dirt nap within a week or so of a any 'fueling box' install that involves modfying the pump fuel solenoid timing (tapping the pump wire).
I'm on VP-44 number 4, and my Edge Comp is now in the bottom of my tool box.
