Vp44
Not sure what you are doing wrong other than maybe looking at another supplier. I changed out my orginal LP at 60k with a FASS, changed out a good VP at 90k with a HRVP and now have 200k on the truck and going strong.
I wish i knew myself.. I didnt imply that we are all a buncha incompetent tards, but the same machinery lasted 10 times as long out the gate from the factory. Something is not right somewhere.. maybe the rebuidls aren't built to factory specs. Maybe they dont properly lube them when rebuilding. Maybe they use cruddier parts. Maybe the factory ran a quart of oil through them first. Maybe the factory torqued everything to a specific value and then ran the engien and retorque.. maybe voltage delivery increases or decreases to the pump over time.. maybe amperage icnreases or decreases. maybe the sproket the pump turns on loosens, or needs replaced with time and creating faster wear on each successive pump.
Mybe the injectors get dirty and when they are dirty the create excessive ressure in the pump. Maybe they had some sort of vacuum pump to suck all the air out when they originally built them, or they had a device to pull fuel or oil through them first so they never fired up dry.
There has got to absolutely be something the general public does not know about why a stock lp and VP44 will go 100+k miles, even 200k+ miles, but so many people have trouble with BOTH replacement parts going 10K+.
I wish someone would dedicate their life to finding this out. That would be helpful.
Ive got about 30k on the last pair of vp44/lp and im knocking on wood after writing this.

I'm going on vp #2 in 11 months. I figured since the warranty was up in 1 month and the truck was only getting 10mpg and had no power id better replace it. I'm getting faster it only took me 30 minutes to get the pump off this time
