Vin locked smarty so3
So I bought a smarty off of a buddy who took off truck when he traded in. We thought he had it unlocked but apparently not it says warning vin locked. Can anyone point me in the direction to having it unlocked or is it even possible? Thanks

He should have returned his truck to the stock software before trading it in. If he had done that, you would be able to use the Smarty. You could call Mads Electronics and ask them, but you may have to get your money back from your friend.

Thanks for the reply I contacted smarty and I guess I’m sol. U would think they would want my $250 they charge to unlock it vs me throwing it away and they get nothing. Ohh well!

For liability sake they will assume it was stolen. Same thing with locked cell phones.
