Good afternoon,

I had a really bad leak at my vac pump, so I bought the fixin ram kit. I got the pump out, the seal looked fine still soft, no rips. The shaft of the p/s pump looked fine also, no groove. I went ahead and replaced the seal anyhow. Once back together still leaks bad. It is a run, not a drip. I had a guy replace the ps pump back around sept. What is in the ps pump that seals around the shaft and the coupler. That is the only place that I could think of that it would leak. The guy had black silicone all over the pump as if it had been split. Any idea's? I guess I need a breakdown of the ps pump, if anyone has one.
