Two Engine Codes

My truck felt like you were tapping the break while excelerating and the engine light came on. Codes: P0112 & P0237. Now when I drive it it feels like a diesel with no turbo. I can hear the turbo whind up but no power. I think that the wastegate or blow off it stuck open and not going into the engine. Am I thinking wrong? How do I fix it? (Only mod: AEM brute intake, no chip)

Both of those codes are boost related.

You have a loss of boost somewhere, check your intercooler boots to see if one popped off or has a hole in it. Sometimes an AC line will rub against it causing a hole, or one has come loose.

I am wondering if it could just be a dirty fuel filter. Thoughts?
Any tips on changing the fuel filter?

P0112-Intake Air Temp Sensor Voltage To Low
P0237-Map Sensor Voltage To Low

Like Lary said, check your intercooler boots and make sure none of them are loose or broke.

I checked the boots and they are fine. Changed the fuel filter and nothing changed. Then disconnected the boot that connects to the arm to the intercooler right before it goes into the engine, and let it run. It was throwing air like mad. Could it be the lift pump? Is that the VP44 that everyone talks about. (Sorry I'm so new)

My guy told me that the MAP sensor was bad. Anyone know if this could cause a power loss in the engine?

Yes.
You've also got a code for the IAT (Intake air temp sensor) which may need replacing too.

I don't know where you are, but go to a Cummins dealer. Should be less then $100 for both sensors.

Look here to see where they are located:
