Turbo

i had a question on a turbo i seen in another post but no answer to it. when im driving it seems like the turbo is constantly running every time i hit the gas i can here it whine is this normal and how do you make them last the longest if your not towing do they get hot by just normal street driving and should you let the truck idle a few minutes before you turn it off to cool off the turbo

yes your turbo spins constantly... yes when on the throttle it should whine...during normal driving your EGT will be from 300-800 or so stock so yes it gets hot...You probably dont need to cool it down if you are stock get gauges and cool down to 400 on EGT's...GET GAUGES EGT, BOOST, FP keep EGT's under 1200 boost under 20 FP over 10 and life should be good...
