Changed my fuel filter. Drained then put filter in. Charged the F.P. back up to 16 psi. Then started truck. She ran for about 5 sec. then just died. Now it won't start. It will crank the truck apart but won't start.

I took the filter out to make sure there was fuel in there and there is.

Any suggestions?

 

crack a few injectors then crank when fuel comes out tighten her up and should start

 

i'm worried that something went wrong with the lift pump. She won't give me any more then 5-6 psi now. Before I started her up I was getting 16psi. will air in the lines not allow it to prim back up?

 

Mine did the same thing when the LP went out.

 

I hope not the Lift pump is running and it is almost a year old.

 

Thanks for all your help. I ended up opening the filter back up. Cranked er over and let it flow fuel out the filter. Closed er back up and cranked again. This time I got 16 psi. But still wouldn't start. So I cranked some more and put the gas peddle down. Then she took off. Runs great again and stills starts.
