Now i just did install a new clutch so it isnt that casue it did it before also. when coming to a stop my truck shakes do yall think it could be the u-joints i just started noticing it about a month ago, i just put all new brakes and rotors on in december so i doubt its that and plus it not a pulsating shake its a rumble through out the truck.. any other ideas let me know thanks

Did your truck do this before the brake job?

If not, I would look there for the problem. I think if your u joints were going bad, you would have a constent vibration.

Best of Luck,

Joe

I'd rotate my tires before I did anything drastic.

so... i rotated my tires and it doesnt shake "as" much. My one buddy said since i had to switch two tires off the rims casue of a flat, he said if the one was going one way and the othe was going another i could have ripped or messed up the belts in the tires and its making it shake?? Is this a possiblity or should i check something else out? but it did slim the shaking down, knock on wood....

If I'm understanding your friend, he says that switching rotation direction on one of the tires will mess up the belts. This was the case back in the day, but I don't think it matters on modern tires. More than likely, your tires are just cupped, or have some weird wear pattern that is making them rumble.

Mine did this when I was coming to a stop also. I automatically thought it was the wheel bearing. I spent the better part of a day getting the damm unit bearing out of the steering knuckle only to find that it spun slicker than snot in my hands.

Then, I rotated the tires and the rumble was cut down to almost nothing... It's probably just your tires.
