:i have a 98 24 valve truck and just had the injection pump replaced and lift pump and everything was fine but now when i try to start the truck after long period of sitting it takes while for it start like its not getting any fuel but if i let the lift pump run through cycle it starts right up . i took it to local shop and they said that i might have faulty injection pump but i dont think thats it if you have any suggestions it would help thanks

 

Sounds like you've got a fuel leak, allowing air to get into your lines. Double check all fuel lines including return line connections.

 

thanks but i not exactly sure where thw return lines are ? are they in back of the motor ? i know when it starts it starts right up and doesnt sputter like there is air in the fuel lines and wondering if there is like faulty pump or something that loosing pressure
