Does anybody know what a trouble code p1693 is? I looked on a web site that has trouble codes, chouldn't find anything, my scanner don't have anything on it either. My truck just gave me it last night. I played with the waist gate and was checking to see if i had a code. I do now and didn't before. the thing don't want to clear out threw the scanner either. anybody know anything about this?

What scanner do you have?

Last time I had that Code it was the Crankshaft Position Sensor. My tach was erractic, the temp guage was going up and down, and the engine would stumble at times.

P1693 is just a companion code.

Means either the ECM or PCM has a code in it.

It usually comes with another code, but often that code has already cleared itself, but the 1693 is a leftover.
