troque specs

troque specs

Need torque spec for 2 1/2 in rear axle hub nut one ton dually.

I'm not positive which axle is in your truck, but they have the same specs.
here are the tourque specs for the 3 axles:

248RBI - hub bearing nut - 120-140 ft. lb.
267RBI - hub bearing nut - 120-140 ft. lb.
286RBI - hub bearing nut - 120-140 ft. lb.

Thats half of it. From the FSM, torque to 120-140 while turning the tire, then back the nut off 1/8 to 1/3 of a turn. Don't just torque it to 140 and leave it.

Good catch. That last step is pretty important.

Well, considering he said one ton dually, and its in the 24v section on a dodge forum, I'm betting its a 98-02 Dodge 3500.
