Transmission question
Transmission question
Hey guy's, just curious if anyone would know what would cause my truck while stopped to be very difficult to get into gear, if I am rolling it goes in to gear smooth. This just could be a coincidence but it became very pronounced after I got my new clutch put in. Thanks for any help, Mike
Re:Transmission question
I have the same question. :-[
The tranny shifts fine going down the road but when going into 1st or Reverse it is sometimes hard to get in gear. ??? It doesn't do it all the time just every now and then, but at times it's so hard to get into reverse that you have to let it roll forward before it will shift. It almost feels like the clutch is not disingauging all the way. I thought it might be the Slave/Master cylinder but I'm no tranny expert.
Thanks for the help.

Re:Transmission question
consider it normal for a bigger trans- if you let the clutch up and try again and or select an other gear.
the dogs on the syncro are butt heads (dont want to go past each other) so the ez way to move them is as a above.
all this said.. if for some reason your cluch is not completly disenguaged ie not pushing peddle dwn far enough,
or master cyl. leaking past its self or same same for the slave
cyl or the hyd. line is week and swelling up instead of delivering full stroke to the slave.
t.m.o.
