Transmission problem or not?
Problem with 02 6 speed auto, after sitting for a couple days, when start I have to give tranmission a few monments to warm up before it will move. I don't remember having to do this before when I drove the truck daily, I'm am now disabled and only drive once or twice a week,
thanks for any suggestion.

Seal in the torque converter prevents fluid from draining back. When the seal starts to fail, fluid drain from the converter into the pan, and the converter will transfer little to no energy to the input shaft until it is filled again. Putting it in neutral will pump more fluid, and will fill the converter faster. If it doesn't affect driving while sitting for just one day, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Sure, a new converter would help, but if that comes out no sense in not rebuilding the rest, as I'm sure its getting tired. But if all works correctly otherwise, I would just leave it, my opinion.
Thanks for the info, I pull a 5er will the extra load cause the seal in converter to go out? Should i start looking for someone to rebuild. Truck has 109,000 mile, just broke in.
