Have a leak on transmission cooler line from the tranmisson to aux cooler in front of the radiator. Was rubbing on the frame near the oil pan. I ordered the line today from napa only around 30 bucks. Incase some one is wondering napa part number is BK 8275296. Problem I have is going to be the rubber hose from the steel line to the cooler. If I saw correct its connected to the cooler with just a hose clamp. Looks like some special connection from the rubber to the steel line. Is there a special tool? Since there is a barb at the end of the new line I was thinking about sliding a piece of hydraulic hose over with a few hose clamps. Any suggestions?

 

I have a 1999 2500 and I also replaced the line to the cooler, I had to use a set of the AC line/fuel disconnect tool in order to get the line apart. Didn't take much to do the job. Works good.
