Transfer case shot

Just bought my 02 CTD 2 weeks ago only put 1000 miles on it and I noticed a terrable noise coming from what I thought the rear end so I called the dealer back and told them I thought something was really wrong with the truck so the said they would send a wrecker to pick it up and the would fix whatever was wrong with it with no charge to me. Well come to find out it was the transfer case it had not drain plug in it yeah wow that what I said of course they said there service dept didn't do it but they said they would still fix it but my question iscould this have done any damage to the trany do the have seprate fluids and by the way this truck only has 59,000 miles on it. Before I except this truck back should I demand they put a new trany in?

Totally separate fluid source. Tranny will be fine. Even the coupling from the transfer case is lubed by tranny fuild, and not from the transfer case fluid.
