transfer case

transfer case

hey guys, can anyone tell me the difference in a 231 and a 241 transfer case?

The NP241 is a heavier duty, stronger T-case...

Both are chain driven aluminum cases, I believe the NP241 is stronger due to a wider chain.

The NP241HD (what you have) also has provisions for a PTO.

How do you know he has the HD version?? To my knowledge, not all CTDs have the HD version. My 01 has the HD version and my 98 has the standard.

I had always heard and read that the HDs came in the snowplow package, as well as all CTD and 3500...
