Going home from work last night. When the tranny shifted into 2nd, I gave it throttle and I didn't gain any speed. RPM's went to over 2000 and the truck wasn't moving any faster. Did that all the way home. Got out of the truck and could smell a burnt odor. Checked the tranny fluid and it looked good and at the normal level. This morning everything is Ok. I set up an appointment at the dealer for Monday morning.

 

Most likely it is the front band slipping. Have you checked the adjustment.?
