Tranny Slip or APPS

At @ 80-90km/hr the engine will jump to @2200rpm but it doesnt feel like the tranny kicked down.could this be the tranny slipping or the app sensor?i have be fighting a failing app for a while now but this is a new symptom.outside temp was -40c,tranny temp was between 110&145f and everything else seemed fine.truck ran great for the whole day then started this near the end.its just to cold to be messin with her right now.thanks boys for the help in advance.Nomad

Sounds like converter unlocking.
Do a search on electrical noise.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Clean all electrical connections. Both power and ground circuits. Install a condenser from alternator positive to ground for internal alt issues. Add extra pint of tranny fluid if valve body is sucking air for some reason. JMHO
