I HAVE A 2000 6 SPEED but every were i read they didnt make a 6 speed till 01 my truck was produce in july 99 this is what i got off the tranny 0171 nf1 and in big bold letters stamped on the side N3 heres my vin if someone could run it vin#1b7mf3363yj108703 thanks guys

 

what yr did the 5600 come out

 

I don't have the time to run number right now, but you and I have pretty much the same truck. We have the early NV5600 that was an option in 99 and early in the 2000 model year, my build date is sometime in 99 also. The early trans has the smaller clutch and 1 1/4" input shaft. From what I understand there aren't a whole lot of early 6 speeds out there.

01 to 02 6 speeds are mated with the High Output engine and the later NV5600 with a larger 1 3/8" input shaft.

 

THANKS JD 730 a couple of my buddies were telling me that my truck must of had a 6 speed swap i didnt think it was true.so uor trucks are pretty rare then is there anything to look out for with the early nv5600?

 

Just make sure you get the right clutch if you ever have to do one. 1 1/4" input shaft.
