Tranny

Truck in Sig.

Don't know that much about them. It seems to not want to find the right gear and at times when going from drive to reverse or the other way, takes its time finding the gear.

My first thought is to change the fluids and filter. After that what should I be saving for? Whole new tranny or upgrade the valve body and TC. The trans was replaced 2 (?) years ago by the previous owner, but only stock.

I don't put the edge over 3 and am usually driving around with it on 1. I would like to be able to use the available power in the edge but probably won't be doing any more to if from there power wise.

Thanks

Does it do this when you first start the truck?

finding reverse and drive, yes. Sloppy changing gears and searching for the right one happens when driving slowly around my job site at different times

Most likely a pressure solenoid in the valve body. Have to drop the pan to replace. Or do a search for alternator interference.
