I get a 1740 code(tcc or od solenoid performance) when driving around city stop and go sometimes. Could this be caused by a bad Throttle Possition sensor TPS. The truck and trans ran fine on a 4000mi trip pulling a 5th wheel, no codes at all.

Just throws the code in stop and go running around. If I turn the o/d off it doesnt get a code.

doubt it is tps related...when was your last tranny service? I would give Dave at goerends a call and run it by him. You may need to just replace that solenoid

 

Trans fluid changed 2 times in less than 10.000 miles , New smr kit . Did it before shift kit too . new trans and clean oil and pan.

Talked too Pat at smr, my trans guy and DTT. Noone really had a answer
