Torque for the fuel lines
Torque for the fuel lines
Alright, I heard that its very important to torque the fuel lines at the injectors to the right specs. Question 1: how do you torque something if you cant use a socekt and 2: what is the proper torque

It will vary if you use an adapter on a traditional torque wrench. If you use a torque wrench designed for the crows foot it will be perfect.
The Regular will get you close enough in the torque range that I wouldn’t worry about it, unless you have other uses for the crows foot kind. We happen to have calibrated torque wrenches of both styles where I work, so if I need a crows foot I can sign it out for the day, otherwise I use the regular one at home. The expense for a one time use or very limited usage would probably not be worth it.

My aircraft mechanics tell me that if you install crawfoot along the torque wrench, the torque is chenged (very little mind you). If you install crewofoot at 90* to the wrench, there torque reading will be accurate.
