Tick coming from engine

I have an '01 that I have started hearing a slight tick from the motor. I hear it the most when the truck is in gear either at or near no throttle. I hear it slightly throughtout the rpm range but it gets harder and harder to hear with the increase of rpm. I checked the valves to make sure they aren't out of adjustment but they are fine. Its not very noticable, in fact I am the only one who seems to hear it, but I drive the truck everyday and pay really close attention to any abnormal noises. I was told that it is probably an injector tick from incorrect injector opening pressures and the injectors might be on the verge of going south. The truck has 195,000 miles but I have no idea how old the injectors are since I have only had the truck for about 6 months. Any thoughts on weather or not the injectors are the most probable cause of the noise would be greatly appreciated.
