Smile switch

has any body out there replaced the switch that will not allow the starter to operate untill the clutch is depressed? if so , where is it? i am having intermitant starting problems...it could be the starter motor or the switch .i already have the larry b. kit ready to install
any pictures would be helpful...... thanks guys

It should be behind the pedal, I'm not really sure though. I have an auto.

They are usually mounted so the pedal depresses them. They can be adjusted, and are definitley a pain when not allowing the starter to work.

I disconnected mine. Only bad thing is that it can start in gear . Only forgot about that once!

It's on the steering column up against the fire wall. If you get under there and look you can see it. I've disco'd these on other vehicels and all it took was removing the plug and putting a U peice of wire in the plug. I haven't done this on the dodge just because I have kids and if it started in gear the massive torque of the cummins could push the truck all the way through my house

John, it wraps around the push rod. Remove the white slip cover and it snaps off the rod. Takes only a minute to remove. Give me a call if you need one. I've got an extra, somewhere.
