Stumbling Problem when outside temp drops below 20 degrees?
I have a 2001 HO 2500 Doge Ram with 74,000 miles and is completley stock. About a month ago the temps here in Nebraska dropped to below 20 degrees at night and the next morning I started up the truck and got going and the truck started to stumble and then ran fine, stumble again and then run fine. Probably the "dead peadle" sympton that people talk about, but never had this happen before so I'm not for sure. After the truck reached operating temp. the truck ran just fine. The outside temps got warmer outside and the truck never had a problem again. Then today the temps dropped below 20 degrees again and the truck stumbled again. I haven't driven it since I got to work today so I don't know what it will do. I have not plugged the truck in this winter yet, but going to try that tomorrow morning and see if that helps. Also I have added Power Service white bottle at every fill up during the winter and Power Service silver bottle every fill up durning the warmer months. There are no codes on the truck, but I know that does not necessarly mean everything is okay. Does anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?

Sorry I have no answers as I am experimenting similar problems with my recently acquired 1994. I can't really say "stumble" as a gasser might do in extreme cold climates but lets say the engine doesn't respond as smoothly than what it was doing when the climate was milder a month ago or so.I noticed some unease to respond to the throttle when I am within the first mile or so at the actual close to zero temps.Once the motor has reached its full working temp this dissapear completly.I have a 4.3 litres GMC 4X4 1987 and when I've tried going with large 33 inches BF TA tires this same problem showed up and I had to go back to the stock 225s 28 inches or so tires...the experiment demonstrated that it was too much a demand for this low powered motor, especially when cold,to have a good throttle response.
Now the cummins is not short of power but I am wondering if larger than stock tires could not have a role to play in such a comportement?!Are you running oversized tires compared to the stock ones?
thanks,Ron.
