Stuck injectors???

Hello All,

My brother has a 100% stock 2001 24V. Every now and again when he starts from a stop his truck blows white smoke like no tomorrow. It seems to have started when his Intercooler boot was leaking. That is fixed. Has normal power again. But this seems to still be happening. So I am thinking he has an injecter stuck open or something. The condition does go away after he runs for a bit. But then will come back a week later or longer or shorter.

What you guys think?

Checked codes and nothing related to fuel system.

if an injector was stuck open I'd assume the smoke would be black. All white smoke means water, I think?

I could have him check again but we checked...pre-intercooler boot fix. It was not throwing the dreaded vpp code. and the white smoke is Spy hunter thick. only shows up while accelerating from a stop in first......once he gets to second. it starts to disapear. From what I understand...Black smoke is underboost. White smoke is fuel getting to the exhaust and burning there.

here are the codes pre - intercooler boot fix.

P500
P460
P1693

Yes, I think white smoke is the result of late combustion - letting some raw fuel combust after it has left the combustion chamber.....really, it amounts to retarded timing or fueling durations that end too late. This is an injector pump timing issue.
