Strange lift pump problem
Got the replacement spring that Geno's overnighted to me. Totally different spring and much stiffer. Somebody at FASS screwed up! Out the new spring in and now I have 23 lbs. at idle and 18 at WOT with the Quad on. I'll take that. The high idle pressure has not been an issue and once I add in the extra filters I plan on that may drop a bit.

This may not be your problem but.
My FASS lift pump was "going bad" I would notice the pump would cut in and out then one day it just stopped. I looked and it was way past warranty so I figured I had nothing to lose and tore it apart. I had chunks of white stuff jamming the gearrotors. They came from the stock fleetguard pre filter
The filter element is siliconed into the metal case and had started to disintegrate. The little chunks went through as long as the pump was already running because I found them in the regular filter but the last straw was a little bigger chunk that got sucked up right when the pump was spinning up.

I'm not sure agree with the statement
<quote>Also, if that intank goes out you will cook the Airdog in short order trying to pull through the dead intank pump.</quote>
I don't see a reason that it woud..its an air cooled motor, at worst case it would be pulling against a vacuum..about 20 inches..
I'd guess you've never hooked a vacuum/pressure gauge to you fuel system..
don't it'll scare the mess out of you..
why..I've seen 10inches of vacuum on the line that feed the VP44..well that was 2yrs ago..same pump. still running..new filters..more than once..
back to the op
so the other tank is AL..SO..the orginal tank is plastic...and you think your add on tank is less prone to corrosion??guess again..yes the pick fill up the crap..not related to corrosion..think dirt!..diesel fuel is dirty..it 2 cans of brake clean to clean my pickup screen before I found the screen!!!
do you have any CODES!!?
