whats up? my 99 dodge has a problem.if i leave on a trip pulling my trailer it will run fine for about an hour at any speed you want to go. after that hour is up it is like the computer is turning the power down,as soon as the truck slows to 60mph the power comes back and it takes off again.after the power comes back it will go up to about 70 then cut it back again,anybody know what the deal is.

 

Hmmmm...I would start with the fuel filter.

 

better get a fuel pressure gauge on it.

 

i replaced the fuel filter twice the first time it had all kinds of greasy looking crap in the bottom.second time the outside was clean but i was told you have to cut it open to really tell. i just bought this truck and it has 245,000 miles on it...........runs great when it runs.it is also getting hard to start.
