steering box specs

Anyone know what would be the acceptable end play on the output shaft of the steering gear. I can get a considerable amount of movement if I pry up on the pitman arm.
Had all the ball joints and stablizer replaced and realighned but the truck still is still hard to keep in one lane. Repair shop says they cant find anything else loose.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Should be virtual zero up and down movement.
With engine running and moving steering wheel, shaft should not move from side to side when turning.
Either move is bad, replace gear assy.
