Starting Trouble
Starting Trouble
I have a 99 w/6-speed and have recently encountered problems with starting. When engaging the starter it either does nothing, or attempts to start slowly. If I push in the clutch several times, it usually engages. My suspicions are:
1. Clutch position switch
2. Starter/solenoid.
Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at my pics to see what worn / burnt starter contacts look like. They are easily replaced if you are semi handy with a wrench.

It may be the clutch switch, you might want to track it down and bypass it for a test. I have an automatic so I can't help you there.
Fill out your signature so we know what truck you have, mods, miles, single sisters, ect.
