Starter fuse blowing.....HELP

Well, it's like the title says, my starter fuse keeps blowing out. This problem started this week and has happen four times now. So what happens is when I turn the key on, I wait a few seconds and when I turn it all the way, SNAP. Blown fuse. It seems to me like I have a direct short. But I've searched around, checked the wires and can't find anything wrong. Well except my battery terminals looking a little nasty. Time for a cleaning there. Anyways, Any Ideas? I've heard of these trucks having starter silenoid issues. Is what I'm experiancing, this problem? Thanks in advance guys.......

My buddy's 01 GMc gasser had this problem. Turns out the starter relay was going bad. Swapped it with the headlight relay and voila. The problem was solved. Might be worth a shot. We spent 8 hours trying to diagnose what was wrong with his truck. I knew I shoulda listened to my dad when he said look at the simple things first.

I have heard of others having this problem. It was the contacts inside the starter. They are easy to replace and very reasonable from a starter rebuilder.
