Well I started blowing the fuse for the starter solenoid circuits recently and a tear down and inspection of the starter revealed that the load side contact was almost completely worn away and the plunger is pitted. A quick online order of larry B's replacement contacts and plunger got them here in 3 days. The install took about 45 minutes and the starter is like new again.
