Stalls when starting?

In the morning after the truck has been sitting all night the truck will stall after about two seconds of running. It will fire RIGHT up, but then chug a little and stall. Turn the key again right after and it fires right up and runs great. Batteries have plenty of power, though it has been pretty cold every night. It didn't start doing this as soon as it got colder, but I haven't had a warm day to check and see if it's a cold only issue.

What could it be? Oh, and the truck is never plugged in. Not yet at least...

How cold does it get? Are the grid heaters working? In the owners manual it says cold weather starting requires you to raise the idle to 1200 after it starts, and may require you to keep it running with the pedal for a bit.

Never had an issue with my dads truck, but no colder than 20*. If you try to keep it running with the pedal it breaks up very badly for about 5 seconds, almost like its starving for fuel. Didn't do it this morning, though. It only got down to about 40* last night.

I had the same problem just the other day, However i had a really bad leak coming from the top of the fuel filter/water seperator. I drained the water from the seperator and screwed the cap back on tight and have not had a problem yet. It was in the morning and it would start up and run for a sec then die. Then it would turn over and over and take a long time to start.

Both times it starts right up, its just the first start stumbles and dies. I think a new FF might be in order.

Well back to the top for this one. This issue is getting sort of annoying. It's a cold ONLY issue. Seems like it needs to be below 28-30 or so for the entire night, if it's warmer it'll start up. New fuel filter didn't seem to fix the issue.
Anyone got any ideas?

00-01 Hard start and/or a no start condition - Service Action #00-11 replace fuel pump
00-01 Ram failure to crank - see service action #00-01 for fuse revision
Intake manifold heater relay stuck - replace fried relay and/or heater grids
