speedo not working below 22mph and ABS broken

At about the same time my speedo stopped working under 22mph and my brake and ABS lights are stuck on. I haven't checked fuses yet, or relays. Seems like a sending unit on the speedo along w/ a fuse for brakes. We'll see.

What he said.

Located on the top of the rear punkin, easy and cheap(relatively) to fix.
New sensor will solve both those problems.

Or, cheaper and easier, maybe the connection came loose, or got some water in it.

Yep i had the Exact same problem about a week ago. It was the rear ABS sensor on top of the rear axle. think it was $34 for a new one 5 min to install.

i figured it was the sensor. hasn't rained in awhile, so if it's water, color me impressed. Just a weird coincidence that the speed sensor starts acting up just as the ABS takes a dive.

more or less, i was hoping a few other people had their ABS & brake lights come on and could give a suggestion, or two, as to what it is. I'm guessing fuse / relay first. Anything else and the black electrical tape is comin out.

The RWSS in the pumpkin also controls part of your ABS too.. Pull it out, it's either bad or gummed up with metal particles. drain and clean out your rear diff when you do this.... Trust me... That's 99% of the problems with the ABS on those is the sensor bad/dirty. So make sure no metal is floating around in your diff.

The speedometer and ABS both use the speed signal from the tone wheel on the ring gear carrier. Therefore, when the sensor fails, both the speedometer and ABS system go Tango Uniform.

Did you fix it by cleaning it or by replacing it? Did you change the diff fluid also?

haven't gotten around to it yet. I rolled my right ankle 2 weeks ago from Sunday, and then again 1 week ago from Sunday. Once I decide what oil I wanna put in the rear-end I'll pick it up, a new pinion seal and brake cleaner and I'll get to cleaning.
