I am throwing a P0500 code? I think this is the speed sensor on the rear differential????? Is this right???? If so, where exactly is it located??? TIA

 

If your speedo and ABS are working, then you probably set the code by spinning the tires recently.

It is located smack dab on top of the rear pumpkin.

It is located in the rear end on top of the pumpkin, it picks up off the ring gear.It is external and only has 1 bolt holding it in. A common problem is the conector it will get corroded.Also check the wire harness where it goes up to the frame ,some times it gets messed up there it rubs on the fuel tank.

 

Thanks guys..Found it. Cracked plug in. Guess it just couldn't handle all the torque!!! Light are off THANK GOD!!!!
