Some help with clutch needed!

This is a little hard to describe, but my clutch pedal doesn't feel right. I'm thinking its a problem with what I call is a slave cylinder or something. Normal shifting is fine. If I am in a parking lot and I'm feathering my clutch in and out parking or something like that. The clutch won't disengage. I have to take it out of gear and pump the clutch a couple of times. It feels like its bleeding off or something. Any ideas?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Yea! Pretty common failure. Replace as assembly. Friendly dealer has price near $130 the last time checked. Aftermarket has been slightlly higher for assembly, but may have slightly larger cyl for easier operation on HD clutches. Take your pick, but don't replace by sub component. Bleeding is tougher.

What is "as", and what do you mean by sub component?

He means you can (and should) buy the whole hydraulic assembly as one, rather than in individual components.

What components are included in the assembly? Do you have to pull the transmission?

Same EXACT thing happened to mine. If the system is not losing fliud it is the master cyl. Thats what mine was. $89 at advance auto.

Like these guys said it is worth buying the whole assembly, then its all updated and you don't have to bleed anything. On these trucks it external, so just crawl under the truck on the drivers side and you will see it bolted on the bell housing.
