I used a small fountain pump I had laying around. It took out approx. 2.5 - 3 gallons, the rest hit my garage floor, no big deal I hosed it out.
I'm just glad I caught it before it caused me trouble.
I spent the extra loot and got a gatorback, no more squeels..............
Thanks again for all the help, another job well done!

I just popped off the waterpump and let it splash n' drain -my petcock wouldn't open! I thought I was turning it, but - no joy.
Anybody have any idea how I can drain / flush the radiator with a non-working petcock (other than slicing the lower radiator hose)?

Auto Zone in Elkton.
Part Number 4080810 (8PK2055 on in too)
I could have sworn I read of guys paying 50 and 60 bucks for them at NAPPY, this was like $32.00 +/-?......
Anyway, I should have gotten it 10,000 miles ago, it is dead quite when I shut it down, mine had some shredded parts from when my fan came loose one time

Just the info I was looking for, thanks guys.... I discovered anti-freeze on the driveway Friday morning...crawled underneath and anti-freeze is running down the front of the engine.. figured the only place it could be was the water pump. $62 at a local CarQuest for a *new* pump or $44 for a reman, had to order it, but got it within 12 hours... (at least I had a good excuse to take a day off of work too!) now it's time to go see if the petcock still works and pop the new pump in there.
With 150K on the clock and only minor probs during the warranty period, guess now it's time for the nickel and dime stuff to start catching up to me.
