what is the silncer ring and what does it do where is it i see alot of you have it listed as MIA i know i ask afew ?s but im tring to learn i realy like this truck thanks to all of your advise i got my lift pump fixed fuel gauge is ready to go in i would be putting it in this weekend if i was home im in northern wisconsin for the weekend im trying to talk the wife into a biger exust for xmas and she said it is loud enuf im not shure what my next mod should be i dont know any one in my area that knows any thing about diesels thats whey im here i want to keep it a evry day driver and to pull my jeep and slide in camper i also want it to get up and go when emty the supper chiptunner helpd (I NEED MORE) i also need to keep the fuel MPG in line i am geting 19 to 23 i i love it so any ad vice would be great

 

the sliencer ring is just that a ring in the turbo that sliences the turbo. to get at it all you have to do is take off the intake tube and take out the snap ring then the ring will fall out.

all it will do is make the turob whine louder it will not really give you any power

im allways nice to her she is the best pretty much lets my buy what i want all the mony i put in to my grage and the jeep and now this truck im shure glad she likes driving it she wont let let me lift it yet she is to short and has a hell of a time getting in now you should see here try to get in my jeep ill have to get a rope ladder for her

 

That is what a silencer Ring looks like... It has no performance change to the engine. Just keeps the turbo from whistling!
