Re:SIGNS OF A BAD INJECTOR PUMP
a stumble doesnt necessarily mean that the pump is bad
but codes, hard starts, dead truck most likely does
there is a "hotwire" test also
pin #6and #7 are your huckleberries

Re:SIGNS OF A BAD INJECTOR PUMP
Does anyone have the list that deciphers the codes you get if you any. I know I saw a list around a month ago.

Re:SIGNS OF A BAD INJECTOR PUMP
For a 2002, this is the best, most accurate one I've found.
http://www.troublecodes.net/chrysler/96-01.shtml
Supposed to be only up to 2001, but everything I've seen matches.
(clincher is the P1693, if the list says anything about turbo circuit, the list is incorrect)

What does the P1693 code mean then? I thought it was a problem with the MAP sensor.

Just means that a code is present in the "other" computer.
For instance, the PCM gets a 0500, no Vehicle Speed Sensor input.
You run the codes and get an 0500 and the 1693.
1693 just means that code is also in the ECM.
Most likely set up that way so you don't see the same codes over and over when pulling them.
