What or why does the engine "sqweek" when I shut it down? 2001 Dodge 3500 Cummins

Belt or something? Heard other Cummins do it too. Thanks!

Question: What causes the chirp sound from under the hood when I shut down the engine?

Answer: The engine suddenly stops, due to the high compression the accessories such as alternator, water pump, fan keep turning and produce the chirp from the accessory drive belt.
